George William (Bill) McNamee III, began his new a venture into a world beyond ours on Saturday, November 19th 2011. Bill was born on July 13, 1941 in St. Louis MO and lived an adventurous, faith filled 70 years. He married his lifetime sweetheart, Mary Jane (McCann ) in 1962.

After many years of maintenance work at the Kroger Company in St. Louis, the family was ready for another adventure, so about 26 years ago when he moved them to Springfield MO for a new position at Associated Wholesale Grocers.  Bill has always had a strong Catholic faith which led him to become a permanent deacon over 30 years ago. Bill balanced his religious and his adventurous spirit by extensive travel including small planes, trains and long road trips, ham radio activities, genealogy research, learning Spanish and golf.

Bill was anxious to reunite with his predeceased parents, George and Marie (France), his infant brother Joseph, and his infant grandson Joshua Donovan, along with many other family members who have already started their new adventure years ago. MaryJane was not ready to join Bill on this adventure yet, and will remain in Springfield, along with their children; Michael of San Diego, CA, Deborah and her husband Keith Moore of Rogersville, MO, Patrick and his wife Julie, Susan and her husband Johnnie Coffer live all of Nixa, MO. 10 grand and 10 great-grandchildren were also bestowed upon this couple who remain nearby.

Bill’s surviving brother; Jim and his wife Marilynn reside near St. Louis, MO. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday November 23rd, between 9 and 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 3555 S Fremont Springfield, MO with a mass immediately following. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery. The church community will be providing a luncheon for family and friends after the service in the community room.
